Tom Rossiter

Head of Talent – South West


Tom has been with the NHS Leadership Academy since 2015, he previously worked in operations in the private sector. He is responsible for leading the talent management agenda across the South West, having previously set up the South West’s first Regional Talent Board and Aspire Together Executive Director Talent Pool.

He was redeployed to the South West Incident Coordination Centre during the first wave of COVID-19; and was seconded as Head of the South West Regional Operations Centre during the pandemic, he was responsible for the coordination of the operational response to COVID-19, EU Exit, Winter and more recently the Vaccination programme in the South West.

Tom is an executive coach and mentor with a passion for diversity, talent and leadership development and a desire to support our people to become future-focused, compassionate and inclusive leaders who flourish to fulfil their potential. During his career, he has developed leadership expertise across our health and care settings and has led portfolios of work across leadership, finance, change management, service improvement, talent management and deployment; most recently supporting system transformation.

In his spare time, Tom is a keen triathlete and loves spending time in the ocean, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding with his wife and two children.
