Health and Social Care Level 6 (with Mary Seacole) Apprenticeship

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care with integrated NHS Leadership Academy Mary Seacole Programme, is a practice-focused leadership programme for early career leaders.


Who is it for?

Early career leaders and health and care professionals whose roles involve driving improvements in care quality and managing key delivery challenges.

Duration

24 – 48 Months.

How you will learn

You will learn through online coaching, online module delivery and guided self-study and workplace application.

Delivered through a blend of online and face to face learning, the programme supports you to apply what you have learned in your own workplace and aligns with the objectives of the NHS People Plan. Projects are agreed with employers to include live, real-world health and care scenarios.

Entry requirements

At least 2 years of management experience. A first degree (not in a management discipline) or a level 5 equivalent.

  • The qualification leads to a triple award: BA (Hons) Business Management Professional (Executive) degree from Manchester Metropolitan University or a BSc (Hons) Health and Care Management from Arden University, a level 6 apprenticeship, NHS Leadership Academy Award in Healthcare Leadership and a respected professional accreditation by the Chartered Management Institute. NB: You will gain CMI Chartered Manager status alongside CMI membership (MCMI), provided you have 3 or more years’ experience in a management role.
