How does it work?

If you are an organisation interested in undertaking the programme there will be an “onboarding” setup programme to ensure readiness and understanding of the commitment, before individual participants complete the main programme and individual content as well as mentoring pairs activities.

Senior leaders are paired with participants from different backgrounds and ‘levels’ within their organisation following a robust selection process. Participants are supported to work together for mutual benefit as a mentoring pair that meets regularly throughout the programme. The mentoring pairs have a contract together to support their transformational relationship.

Participants complete 5 online modules and activities as part of their mentoring pairs. They will also take part in impact groups where individuals share and learn from experiences, gain wider support, connect and collaborate.

Key benefits

• Develop strategies that more effectively counteract the ‘invisible’ and ‘unconscious’ ways in which the exercise (and abuse) of power negatively impact groups of people in the NHS.
• Uncovering ‘hidden’ needs and using power in ways that practically generate greater equity.
• Developing allies that work collaboratively for change.
• Develop leadership behaviours that reflect commitments to greater equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Encouraging a culture where people feel able to take the initiative and speak to power in ways that are productive and effectively transformational.

We offer:

• One organisational setup programme to prepare and set up your organisation and participants for the programme.
• 5 online modules as part of the Inclusive Reciprocal Mentoring Programme content.
• Reciprocal mentoring pair work and individual impact group activities.
• Programme evaluation to continuously improve the programme and for future participating organisations.
